European Philosophy of Science Association

Welcome to the website of the European Philosophy of Science Association!

The European Philosophy of Science Association (EPSA) promotes the discipline and profession of philosophy of science in Europe. It was established in 2007 and brings together professional philosophers of science and students from the whole of Europe (and the rest of the world) to foster collaboration and exchange of ideas among them.

EPSA organizes a biennial conference. Previous meetings took place in Madrid (2007), Amsterdam (2009), Athens (2011), Helsinki (2013) and Düsseldorf (2015). The next conference will take place in Exeter, UK, from September 6 to 9, 2017. EPSA also edits a journal, the European Journal for Philosophy of Science (EJPS), which publishes articles in all areas of philosophy of science. Between 2008 and 2013, EPSA entertained close relations to the ESF Research Networking Programme The Philosophy of Science in a European Perspective (PSE)
